Friendly and helpful staff in reception and buffet.
Uncharming hotel needs renovation. Facilities not very suitable for young children. Seriously overpriced for the standard offered.
The hotel was very tastefully fitted out in a stylish good quality decor, the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was good with a more than adequate choice. The hotel staff were helpful and polite. It was a lovely relaxing stay.
We didn't like the fencing around the swimming pool.
Nice and silent location, clean room, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfeast.
We wanted to have the window open during the night because the room was very warm. We woud feel more secure if there was a lock/hinge at the window.
Good breakfeast buffet and decent dinner buffet. Clean rooms.
The room ventilation was non existing... Had to sleep with the door open. Please consider improve and perhaps install AC?
Very friendly staff. Good evening meal in the a la carte restaurant. Bikes where brilliant although no one mentioned that they cost 200 kroners each to hire for a few hours.
Quietness, ease of access
Everything's for a short stay (1 night) - no complaint
Swimmingpool. Familiy apartments. Clean and comfortable. Quiet and friendly atmosphere.
To expencive.Outsheck to early (11 a.m.) Should have bin 12 a.m.
General design and appearance.
We were not told about the free bicycles which cost us a taxi ride.
The hotel is conveniently located much closer to Frederikshavnvej than the main train station and so this is the one to use if you have luggage to carry. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and efficent and spoke excellent English. The room was very clean and well appointed. There are in effect two restaurants - a fairly posh restaurant and the "bar" area where one can eat more cheaply.
We stayed at the apartment which was nice and comfortable. Pool and lawn with minigolf were nice extra.
It was little far away from the city centre if one likes to feel the nice village athmosphere and have it within walking distance.
I like the way we were treated, and the good athmosphare in the evenings.
The hotel was ok. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable..it had all the things you need, however it was nothing extra as I would expect for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was good, but once again, it wasn't spectacular as one would expect for 4 stars.
It is quite far from the center of Skagen and the beaches (unless you are driving). It works to ride a bike, but walking is a little too far if you do it a few times during your stay. There's really nothing in the area around the hotel. I choose this hotel as I wanted something extra, hence the 4 stars, but once I got there I regret not booking something closer to the center for less money. There was nothing special about the room that you wouldn't get at a cheaper b&b. Also, our room was on the ground level with windows right by the main entrance, which made it quite noisy. The room was not well ventilated, and we needed to keep the window open. We arrived at noon, and the receptionist didn't volunteer and early check in although it turned out the room was ready. I had to ask for it.
Hotel is almost at the bicycle route to Skagen and it is close to the city center. Friendly staff, large and clean rooms, danish furnitures by Skagerak (trip trap), nice pool for the kids.
Pretty good location and many services offered. While rooms were fairly simple and small, they were quite clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room shared a balcony, which was a lovely way to have some extra space when the weather cooperated.
Be aware that you pay for everything extra -- internet, sports, etc... The breakfast buffet, which was plentiful and good was the notable exception, but even this involved reserving at a higher rate.
Ease of check-in and great breakfast. Prepared to take a booking for 5 people.
Expensive for a small room which just fitted 5. Water saving shower made it hard to get wet and did not suit the price of this hotel.
